Indonesia's coal output in 2024 will be 836 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%

According to CNBC Indonesia channel Jakarta, February 3, Indonesia's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia said at a press conference held by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Jakarta on Monday (03/02/2025) that Indonesia's coal production will reach 836 million tons in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%, and it is the fourth consecutive year of significant growth.

According to CNBC Indonesia channel Jakarta, February 3, Indonesia's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia said at a press conference held by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Jakarta on Monday (03/02/2025) that Indonesia's coal production will reach 836 million tons in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%, and it is the fourth consecutive year of significant growth.

This is the second record for Indonesia's coal production, which reached an all-time high of 775 million tonnes in 2023.

Indonesia's coal production in 2024 also exceeded the government's annual target of 710 million tonnes, achieving 117% of the target.
